Our CSR commitment goes beyond filling roles. We believe in recruitment that is ethical, empowering and genuinely beneficial to workers, families and communities.
Three principles guide how MiSha approaches its responsibility to workers, employers and the wider community.
MiSha is committed to transparent, honest recruitment. We provide candidates with clear information about all requirements and procedures upfront. We believe ethical recruitment — built on honesty, clarity and respect — is the foundation of any credible agency.
Employment creates opportunity — not just for individuals, but for their families and communities. We take seriously our role in creating international employment opportunities for Kenyan and African workers, and we support them throughout the process with clear, honest communication.
We only place workers with employers who operate within the legal frameworks of the destination country. We provide pre-departure guidance on worker rights, emergency contacts, and what to do if things go wrong — because we care what happens after deployment.
Behind every security guard, warehouse helper, cleaner or caregiver we place is a person — someone who took a courageous step to seek a better future. We take that seriously. MiSha measures its success not just in placements filled, but in lives genuinely improved by the opportunities we help create.
These are the initiatives MiSha is building as we grow. Some are active, some are planned — we believe in being transparent about where we are.
Every deployed candidate receives orientation covering their rights, the destination country's culture and labour law, employer expectations, and emergency contacts — so they are prepared and informed before they travel.
MiSha actively warns candidates about recruitment fraud — publishing clear guidance on what genuine recruitment looks like and how to verify MiSha's identity. We work to protect vulnerable job seekers from being exploited by fraudulent agents.
We remain a contact point for candidates after they have been deployed. If a worker faces challenges with an employer, we aim to provide guidance or escalation support where we are able to. We do not disappear after placement.
As MiSha grows, we intend to run targeted community outreach programmes in areas of high youth unemployment to connect qualified young Kenyans with international employment opportunities. This initiative is in development.
We are exploring partnerships with vocational training institutions to help candidates who lack specific certifications access short courses that will improve their employability for Gulf vacancies. This initiative is in planning.
MiSha is committed to ensuring women have equal access to international employment opportunities. We take extra care in vetting domestic and hospitality employers to ensure safe, dignified working conditions for female candidates.
🌱 Team MiSha Cares is a growing programme. As the agency grows, we commit to expanding our community initiatives and reporting on their impact transparently. We do not publish impact numbers we cannot verify.
If you are a candidate, employer, NGO, training institution or government body who shares our values and wants to explore collaboration, we'd love to hear from you.
